Tom Niland, 73, was left in a coma following a burglary at his home in Skreen County Sligo in January. He is now able to open one of his eyes and has made a small bit of progress. Tom's cousin Michael Walsh tells Andrea "We can't really tell what he can see because he can't speak to us. He is on life support, he has been on life support all along, and he just nods when I ask 'Can you hear me?'"
