Older people living in large homes will be incentivised to downsize to free up homes for families under new plans being considered by Government.   

This initiative, which the Taoiseach refers to as ‘right-sizing’ will be on a voluntary basis with a mix of tax incentives and grants. 

We do have a housing crisis after all, there are young families out there who can’t get on the property ladder, is this the solution?  

Is offering incentives something that might work?  

Adrian Kennedy was joined by many callers with their views on how or if it would work for them.
