Frances Fitzgerald and Helen McEntee admit to getting the same amount of sleep as Margaret Thatcher, 4 hours a night.

Speaking on the Moncrieff show to Henry McKean on Newstalk top Irish politicians follow on from British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher who famously survived on 4 hours sleep a night.
Former Tanaiste and high profile minister Frances Fitzgerald who is running in the Europen Elections said about sleep " You are are working as a minister you could be working 17 hours a day, I read the articles about sleep avidly so I can extend the hours of sleep I get." Henry McKean asked Fitzgerald is it time to rest and if elected with the Brexit fight she would get less sleep again, Frances Fitzgerald said  "I've got better at managing the stresses of political life and I had a fair few of them, I would consider getting six or seven hours sleep a really good night sometimes its much shorter than that."

Minister for Europe Helen McEntee who was campaigning with Frances Fitzgerald on Grafton Street Dublin said "Last night I got about 4 and half hours sleep, That's politics, my average is about 5 and a half, 6 hours sleep.... even if it's an hour you have to recharge the batteries."
