Mixed marriages in Northern Ireland

In North Ireland, a Catholic marrying a protestant proved to be a step too far for many, leading to intimidation and violence leveled against the couple. This tension still exists today and since 1974, the Northern Ireland Mixed Marriage Association (NIMMA) has offered support to couples who are experiencing difficulties, due to the neighbourhood they come from Paul McLaughlin, Development Officer with The Northern Ireland Mixed Marriage Association (NIMMA) joined Sean on the show.
