This coming Sunday, July 25th, is a special UN observance called World Drowning Prevention Day. Simon Tierney grew up around the water by Lough Derg in Co. Tipperary and is acutely aware of the importance of water safety so for today’s Stuff he was highlighting one of the most crucial safety inventions of the 19th century...the lifejacket.
