Across Irish towns and cities our high streets are boarded up and shut. Thousands of businesses will never reopen and are struggling to survive. Shay Howlin who runs Fun Place Joke Shop on South King Street in Dublin which has been in business for 40 years. Fun Place is taking a pause and hopes to reopen if the vaccination rollout picks up by Halloween. Henry McKean asked will our high streets ever be the same again?
