The Government has been accused of delaying the establishment of a special Oireachtas committee on assisted dying. People Before Profit TD Gino Kenny has written to the Ceann Comhairle to express his "frustration on the lack of progress" and appealed to Seán Ó Fearghaíl to intervene. This has brought attention once more to where Ireland is going in relation to assisted dying..
