A Wexford woman was left lying helpless in a urine-soaked bed for 21 hours due to a lack of a carer.

According to the Wexford People, Sharon Colgan who has cerebral palsy and a spinal injury was left lying helpless in a distraught state with no food or water because the company - which the HSE pays to provide her with homecare, could not find a replacement carer due to covid shortages.

Sharon spoke to Shane this morning about her experience and what she wants to see changed in the home care service industry.
