There have been no further deaths of people with Covid-19 and 437 new cases of coronavirus confirmed in what has been described by NPHET as ‘accelerated progress’ and the number of cases in long-term residential care settings has dropped rapidly and more than expected over recent weeks, according to Deputy chief medical officer Dr. Ronan Glynn. Newstalk Breakfast was joined this morning by Professor Sam McConkey Infectious Disease Specialist at the Royal College of Surgeons Ireland and by Tadgh Daly CEO of Nursing Homes Ireland.
