The average award in personal injuries cases has dropped by about 50% following the introduction of new personal injuries guidelines which came into operation two months ago.  This is according to preliminary findings contained in a new report which will be brought to cabinet today. To discuss this further we spoke to the Director of the Alliance for Insurance Reform, Peter Boland.
