Car travel remains the most popular mode of transport

Car travel remains the most popular mode of transport across Ireland – that’s according to The National Household Travel Survey. It found that 69pc of all trips are made in a private car with walking the next most popular transport mode at 20pc, followed by bus/coach at 5pc. Speaking to Newstalk Breakfast this morning was Brian Caulfield, Associate Professor School of Engineering at Trinity College.

Car travel remains the most popular mode of transport across Ireland – that’s according to The National Household Travel Survey.
