The HSE are awaiting a recommendation from the National Immunization Advisory Committee next week on use of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine in light of concerns about links to blood clots as a rare side effect. There are concerns that restricting the use of the vaccine would “significantly” affect the rollout of our vaccine programme. For more we were joined in studio by Colm Henry, Chief Clinical Officer of the HSE.
