Taoiseach Michael Martin has said he cannot guarantee that easing of restrictions will go ahead as planned on October the 22nd. It comes as the Department of Health confirmed a further 2066 confirmed cases of Covid-19. New cases are now at their highest levels in seven weeks. Could this rise in cases threaten Ireland’s “Freedom Day”? To discuss further we were joined by Mary Favier, Covid-19 adviser for the Irish College of GPs, and member of NPHET.
