The economic cost of Covid 19 became ever more apparent yesterday when the government revealed that our public finances have deteriorated by €9.5bn in the past year.  Government spending in the face of the pandemic was the main driver of the cost. We heard from Seamus Coffey Former Chair of the Irish Fiscal Advisory Council and Economist at UCC.
