Schoolchildren who are close contacts of Covid-19 cases would no longer have to self-isolate for 10 days if they showed no symptoms, under changes being considered by health officials. That’s according to reports in the Irish Times today. Currently, there are 14,000 children out of school as close contacts. For more on this, we were joined this morning by  Professor Jack Lambert from the UCD School of Medicine.
