China has started an initiative to tackle food waste in the country called 'The Clean Plate Campaign'.

In Ireland, more than one million tonnes of food waste is disposed of each year – at a cost of up to €1000 per household and with a high price to the environment.  

Taz Kelleher, co-founder of The Useless Project was on the show to give us some advice.
