A group of Ballinamore residents have formed a welcoming committee in the Co Leitrim town, as they fight for an “alternative voice” to be heard on the issue of asylum seekers.

It comes from the recent arson attack outside the home of Sinn Féin TD Martin Kenny in his support of asylum seekers to be accommodated in Ballinamore.

Martin joins Newstalk Breakfast to discuss the meeting.
