Frustration is growing amongst young people waiting to take their driving test. Because of the pandemic nearly 100,000 (96,000) learners are still waiting to do their driving test. The Road Safety Authority (RSA) plan to clear the backlog by the end of the year. More than three-quarters on the list are under 40. Non essential workers are now beginning to take the test, up until recently it was just essential workers being prioritised. Henry McKean met the Airport Driving School and young people from Meath and Dublin. After a year and a half waiting they are finally getting to take and pass their driving test. Henry met them and sent us this report.
