Domestic violence is not being taken seriously enough’, that is the view of our next guest after a convicted murderer who tried to suffocate his wife received an 18-month suspended sentence. Cork Circuit Criminal Court heard that Marius Rucinskas repeatedly struck his wife, tore clumps of hair from her head and pulled off her eyelash extensions after a dispute arose.  Joining us on the show this morning was domestic violence social worker with Cork’s Cuanlee refuge for women and children Caitriona O’Neill
