The life of an artist has ever been a precarious one, but the pandemic has pushed the livelihoods of many to the brink.  Is it time, as Social Justice Ireland will today argue, that we consider implementing a Universal Basic Income for those working in the arts? To discuss further this we heard from Jo Mangan, Director of the Carlow Arts Festival and a Freelance Director and also Mannix Flynn, Independent Dublin City Councillor and Artist is also on the line – Mannix.
