Sport Ireland will appear before an Oireacthas Committee on Transport, Tourism and Sport today in relation to recent controversies involving John Delaney and the FAI.
The FAI and John Delaney has found itself in the spotlight since news of a bridging loan provided by Delaney in 2017 raised fresh questions about the governance of the football body.
Delaney has moved from CEO to executive vice-president as part of a senior management review, but he revealed in the Extra Time - Junior Football Podcast on Tipp FM last night that his change of role was because of an increased workload and nothing to do with the loan.
Our reporter Barry Whyte has been looking ahead to Sport Ireland's appearance at the committee today.....
