Donald Trump has been banned from Facebook and Instagram for at least the next two weeks as a result of his posts supporting the riots in the US Capitol.  Meanwhile, four members of  his team have resigned - and more may follow.  He appealed for calm after the protests and promised a smooth transfer of power.
