A protest calling for better home-care packages for carers will take place outside the Dail at noon today.

Protesters are also asking for the abolishment of the ‘loco-parentis’ rule which requires parents or adults responsible for sick and disabled children to be present with homecare nurses at all times.

Tracey’s Mc Ginnis’ fourteen year old son, Brendan is severely disabled and she joins the show to discuss how the ‘loco parentis’ rule affects her.
