The 120 kilometre an hour speed limit is to be restored on the M7 by the end of September.

Kildare County Council has been giving Newstalk a status update on the lengthy road works, which are part of the M7 widening project.

But will it simply mean the bottleneck at Naas moves to the Red Cow Interchange?

Transport Infrastructure Ireland says the busy interchange and M50 will be impacted.
