The level of obesity identified in expectant mothers has increased by almost 20 percent since the economic crash a major new survey has found.

The age of first-time mothers has also risen sharply to 32 years of age when compared to an average of just 22, in the 19th century.

Professor Sam Coulter Smith, former Master of the Rotunda hospital joins Shane to discuss.
