A New Study Says Steroids Can Cut Risk Of Death Of Some Of The Sickest Covid Patients

 Some inexpensive and widely available steroids can vastly improve the odds that very sick patients with COVID-19 can survive the illness. This is according to a worldwide REMAP CAP Trial which has also been trialled here in Ireland. Professor Alistair Nichol, Chair of Critical Care Medicine in UCD and the Director of the Irish Critical Care- Clinical Trails Network and Consultant in St Vincent’s Hospital, Dublin is behind the Irish end of the trial he joined us on the show.
