Last weekend, more than 50 people occupied the site of a proposed Shannon LNG liquefied natural gas plant and power station in Co Kerry. The protesters claim the project would “lock Ireland into climate-wrecking fossil fuels for decades” should its application with An Bord Pleanála be successful. Aine Treanor of Slí Eile, who was at the protest spoke to Ciara this morning.
