At the intersection of Sean McDermott Street and Buckingham Street in Dublin’s North Inner City stands “Home”, a memorial to local residents who lost their lives to drugs and drug related violence. The monument may be twenty years old, but the issues rage still, with community leaders recently warning the Taoiseach that “drug dealers are effectively running whole parts” of the area. To get a better sense of the situation, Shane met up with Noel Wardick, CEO of Dublin City Community Cooperative, at that poignant memorial and he started by telling him about it’s significance to the community.
