Teens reveal their social media regulation wish list

We’re still waiting on an early draft of the Online Safety Act, which the Communications Minister says is his one of his top three priorities.

The proposed laws would see the establishment of a commissioner to regulate social media companies.

Newstalk’s Aideen Finnegan has been asking secondary students about how they deal with harmful content, and what kind of regulation they’d like to see.

Meanwhile the Connected campaign by Webwise takes an honest look at how young people communicate online.

The short film, based on real life experiences encourages young people to reflect on their interactions and be more respectful to each other.
