Crisis appointments for victims and survivors of sexual violence tripled in the summer of 2020, as Covid-19 restrictions were eased, according to the Dublin Rape Crisis Centre’s annual report (DRCC), released today. More than half of the number of people who contacted the Freephone National 24-Hour Helpline in 2020 did so for the first time.
