On pitch alcohol advertising during sports matches has been banned in Ireland since 2018. However, eagle eyed viewers of Ireland’s recent 6 Nations win over France will have noticed the logo of Guinness Zero Zero (0.0) on the field of play. So, is the use of non-alcoholic beer advertising offering an alternative to alcohol? Or is it merely alcohol marketing by the backdoor?
