According to the Times of London, the reason inflation remains so high is due to the rise of “treatonomics,”. That’s when people prioritize spending on fun stuff and cut back elsewhere instead.   

 Is this what is stopping banks dropping interest rates any further spending spend over and above on the likes of concert tickets or flat white lattes?
