With many medical services being curtailed over the past year due to Covid-19, access to sexual health clinics has also been impacted.
The HSE is running a pilot scheme of sending out STI home-testing kits to people in Dublin, Cork and Kerry. In just over a week it distributed more than 1,800 kits to homes.
