It’s been five years since town councils were abolished.

There is a Labour backed bill is in front of the Oireachtas committee today regarding housing planning and local government.

If it passes, it would see the councils restored.

We talked to former Labour Senator Marie Moloney and Fine Gael Cork City Councillor Kay Dawson.
