The Green Party has held a public meeting in Salthill to discuss ways of tackling Galway's chronic congestion.

The party claims the wide-ranging Galway Transport Strategy, including a planned €650m outer ring-road, doesn't go far enough to address the city's traffic issues.

Cyclists want to see bike lanes and infrastructure prioritised while a 'Gluas' committee believes a tram system is the answer.
