USI report reveals a significant number students suffering from depression and anxiety

A survey of 3,000 third level students has found that significant number are suffering from symptoms of depression and anxiety. 

The 'National Report on Student Mental Health in Third Level' will be launched by the Union of Students in Ireland at Trinity College later today. 

It is the first time the USI has commissioned such a survey.

We joined now by Lorna Fitzpatrick Union of Students in Ireland President and Evelyn Mahon Professor Emeritis with the school of sociology and social policy at Trinity College Dublin, to talk us through the findings
