A new plan backed by Minister for Justice Helen McEntee would give young offenders up to the age of 24 a Garda caution instead of prison sentences. 

Fíona Ní Chinnéide, Executive Director of Irish Penal Reform Trust and Mattie McGrath, Independent TD for Tipperary talked to us about the youth diversion scheme that puts less young people behind bars.
