Born in Chichester, England, Tim Peake is a soldier, pilot, parent and astronaut.
At the age of 13, Peake’s dream of becoming a pilot became a reality when he took control of an aircraft for the first time. It sparked a passion for flying that has been a driving force throughout his career.
At 18 he joined the British Army. After nearly 18 years of military service, Tim left the Army in 2009 to work as a senior test pilot and in that same year, he was selected as an ESA astronaut.
Since returning to Earth in June 2016 Tim has been honoured for his services to space research and scientific education.
He joined Kieran on Wednesday's edition of The Hard Shoulder to discuss his new autobiography ‘Limitless'.
