Residents in Carrick-on-Shannon have raised concerns after up to forty-five asylum seekers moved into emergency accommodation in the town this week.

The asylum seekers will accommodated in a guesthouse in the Hartley area.

They were living in Hatch Hall in Ballsbridge, but it's due to close in mid-July. It's to be redeveloped into a 5* hotel.

The asylum seeker said they were given no say in where they were being moved to.
