Hairdressers and Barbers have been forced to close since Christmas Eve.

There has been a "boom" in the demand for haircuts lately as people are calling to clients homes.

People are also starting to attempt home cuts themselves and some barbers are allowing customers into their shops.

Newstalk Reporter Josh Crosbie has been speaking to a barber in Dublin who is taking bookings through social media and allowing customers into his shop.

He also spoke to Sam Donnelly from Sam's Barbers Ireland who is not happy about those who are still cutting hair, and is asking them to stop.
