A group of up to 150 Bus Connects protesters have marched to the National Transport Authority's headquarters.

5pm on the 30th of May is the deadline for people on the proposed UCD to Baggot Street route to submit their objections to the most radical redesign of Dublin’s bus network ever.

If it goes ahead, there will be 16 new bus corridors which will splinter off in the suburbs.

The NTA says it will reduce journey times by up to half.

To create continuous bus corridors, 1700 trees would have to be felled and Compulsory Purchase Orders would affect the gardens and driveways of around 1300 homes and businesses.

Our Reporter Aideen Finnegan has joined the protest, live as it happened in Dublin this afternoon.
