Young people around the world are today taking part a global climate strike to raise their concerns about the future if action isn’t taken on climate change. The movement began with Greta Thunberg, the 16-year-old environmental activist, who in August 2018 started skipping school on Fridays to protest outside Sweden's parliament. Today thousands marched on Leinster House in Dublin and in other parts of the country.
Elaine Nevin, the National Director from ECO UNESCO which holds Young Environmental Awards every year and has encouraged young people to take action for environmental awareness for the past 30 years. Elaine joined Ivan to discuss the strikes and climate change in Ireland.
