Today marks the 75th anniversary of the D-Day landings on Normandy.  This is the beginning of the Allied invasion of German-occupied Normandy, seen by most as the beginning of the Allied Forces swinging the tide their way in World War 2.

Historian Richard Aldous joined Ivan to discuss what happened on that day, and what could easily have gone wrong.

Meanwhile, broadcaster and author Kevin Myers shed light on the details of the Irish involvement in D Day, which was not insignificant.
