Up to 100 demonstrators are protesting outside Dublin City Council offices over student accommodation.
They are angry over units being converted to visitor accommodation and comments made by DCC’s CEO.

DCC Chief Executive Apologies Following Student Protest
The CEO of DCC Owen Keegan has apologised for his use of sarcasm in a response to UCD Students Union.
It was over student accommodation being converted for tourists and his comments sparked a wave of criticism.
A protest took place this afternoon over the lack of accommodation and the response given by Owen Keegen.
Newstalk reporter Josh Crosbie was there and spoke to students and politicians who were in attendance.
