There has been a bit of talk in recent days over the difference in reactions between Sri Lanka and Christchurch.

The reason many are giving is that the Christchurch attack was on a mosque, and the Sri Lanka one was on a Christian Church.

Brendan O’Neill, Editor of Spiked, believes that the difference in attitude from the public, including prominent global figures has been alarming.

Meanwhile Senior Lecturer in Contemporary Islam in UCC Amanullah de Sondy believes these sorts of conclusion are based on often illogical generalisations.
