A report into labs used during the CervicalCheck controversy has found no evidence they weren't meeting acceptable standards.

Dr. Gabriel Scally's latest review has uncovered 10 further labs involved in screening, which the HSE and the cancer screening programme had no knowledge of.

The report says the use of many of these facilities was not approved in advance by the HSE or CervicalCheck, as was required under the contracts.

Some of the labs where tests were outsourced to are no longer in operation.
