5 years ago, Scottish civil servant and OBE Mary Pitcaithly confirmed that Scotland had voted ‘No’ in the historic vote on Scottish Independence.

It was a vote that then UK Prime Minister David Cameron described as a ‘once in a generation vote’.

Scots rejected independence by 55% to 45% in a referendum in 2014.

Ian Blackford is the Leader of the SNP in the House of Commons, and joined Mark Cagney to tell him what happened 5 years ago, and whether there is appetite for a second referendum.

UCC lecturer Amanullah de Sondy, who grew up in Glasgow, also gave some of his reflections.
