As we know, Ireland is an agricultural nation, but despite this, food prices here have been found to be one of the highest in the EU.

Food and non-alcoholic drinks are 20% more expensive than the average in the EU, according to Eurostat.

Joe Healy is the President of the IFA and joined Ivan from Brussels. Austin Hughes, economist with KBC also joined to discuss why we're paying above the average for our food.
