November the 9th  marks the 30th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall. 

A listener joined Ivan on this evening's edition of the Hard Shoulder to give a first-hand account of what daily life was like before the fall of the Berlin.

Andreas Friedrichs also shared his fascinating story of his  life growing up in East Germany.
