An auctioneer in Belfast has been urged to stop the sale of a pencil that apparently once belonged to Hitler. The ornate silver-plated pencil is set to go under the hammer at Bloomfield Auctions in east Belfast next week.
The pencil is believed to have been given to Hitler by his long-term partner Eva Braun as a gift for his 52nd birthday on April 20, 1941. It is inscribed with ‘Eva’ in German and the initials “AH”.
